Our daughter’s third birthday is coming up in two days and I’ve gone into create-a-toddler-birthday-party mode! I went shopping for a few things today and, walking around wanting to grab stuff I liked, got reminded of something. As a parent  it’s easy to fall into the trap of creating, or trying to create, what YOU want for other people. I always told myself, even long before we had a kid, I’d watch out for that trap. I think I do okay at it, but I always have to keep it in mind.
